Annie Sahlin’s collection of photographs documenting northern New Mexico is now housed in the Palace of the Governors Photo Archive. The collection includes images of lowriders, dances, beauty pageants, fiestas, rodeos, portraits of regional artists, and photographs of many additional people, place and events.
A Santa Fe resident, artist, and photographer, Sahlin has had her work included in exhibitions at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History. Her archive is now housed here as part of our Photo Legacy Project, which seeks materials from contemporary photographers who explore the visual culture of New Mexico.
